Jamaica - November 2012

 

This trip was incredibly special. It was Ray Ray's first time seeing the island while it was a homecoming of sorts for me. The year I spent here as a volunteer teacher changed the trajectory of my life forever. I was excited to take two weeks and show her around the emerald jewel of the Caribbean.

It was also a chance to explore parts of the island I had never seen. Though it is the size of Connecticut, it is easy to stay in one's own little pocket and not explore every nook of the place. The missionaries for whom I worked moved to a new corner of the island and this was a chance to reconnect with them and make some new memories.
