Mount Rainier National Park - July 2011

We returned to Ray Ray's corner of the country to visit family and take in some sights. We had an opportunity to escape to Mt. Rainier for a day, a mountain so special it has its own weather system. Approaching the mountain from the forested floor below, you feel absolutely dwarfed and overcome by nature's intricacy and power. We wished we had more time to explore more corners of the park but we were limited by both time and snowfall that precluded access beyond a certain point.
